Warranty, Terms and ConditionsWarranty:Every piece of furniture we sell is either handcrafted by one of our private master craftsmen or crafted by one of the reputable Vermont factories we represent. Every piece of furniture is crafted with great care and expertise. If you are not fully satisfied, we will accept returns of noncustomized furniture within 30 days of you receiving your piece. The customer is responsible for any and all repacking and shipping costs to our main store in Brandon, Vermont. The refund will be in-store credit for the full purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee. Goods must be in "as new" condition with no evidence of use or damage. If there is evidence of misuse or damage the refund/store credit is at our discretion. The return or credit of customized furniture is at our discretion and generally is not done. All furniture is warranteed from structural defects. Normal shrinkage, swelling, hairline cracks and minor warpage of wide board furniture are to be expected and is not a structural defect and is therefore not covered. Both our private craftsmen and the factories we represent try to match grain patterns. But due to a variety of different influences that affect individual trees, variations will occur and will be evident in your furniture to varying degrees, (Please refer to the Appreciation of Your Furniture Form). A variation in grain pattern is not considered defective and is not reason for return/store credit. We will repair/replace furniture found to be defective due to structural problems within one year of delivery. We will first inspect the furniture to determine whether problem is structural or damaged. Generally, we are not inclined to allowances on goods after one year from time of shipment. Since we do not have control over the conditions our goods are subjected to once they leave our store, damage resulting from negligence or misuse is not covered by Vermont Made Furniture. The warranty is extended only to the original consumer. There are no other warranties either expressed or implied. Completions and Delivery times:The Factories we represent will have an approximate lead time at the time you place an order. Then generally, 7-10 days after an order is placed they will give us an "acknowledgement week", this is an approximation of the week they intend to ship to us. This is an approximation and generally they can honor this time frame. Occasionally, due to uncontrollable variables, they will be 1-2 weeks behind. Custom Furniture orders are given an approximation date as well, generally the first, mid or end of a particular month. Completion times are given as an approximation. We will not sacrifice quality for time in building your furniture, therefore we may not meet an exact completion date which may be five, six, or possibly more months in the future when you order. Please check on progress of both factory or custom furniture. We will gladly update you on the current status and notify you if a factory or craftsman is particularly behind. Deposits and Balances Payable:For factory furniture, we require a 25% deposit, and a 50% deposit on custom furniture to place an order. The deposit guarantees and secures the production time to order/build your furniture. The balance is due upon completion of the furniture and prior to delivery, or at the time of delivery if delivered be Vermont Made Furniture. We are a small company and strive to be fiscally sound to our craftsmen and vendors, therefore, we do not carry unpaid balances. If the customer can not take delivery of the furniture for an extended period of time (more than 2 weeks from completion date) we will ask for balance to be paid in full and we will store the furniture for the customer. If the customer can not take delivery for 4+ weeks, a storage fee will be discussed at that time. HOME | CONTACT |
