After graduating from high school in 1979, David Allard started working out of a fieldstone house he was building for his parents, making custom cabinets and furniture.

David constructed is first woodworking shop from timber he cut off the family farm and had milled locally. Over the years seven additions have been built on to the original building and two more factories have been added, brining the total to over 140,000 square feet of production space, and employing over 100 crafts people.

In 2000, David was recognized as the Vermont Small Business Person of the Year, an honor which he says belongs as much to his employees as to himself.

Unique to Lyndon Furniture is a large selection of furniture styles and a variety of sizes not normally available from a small company.
